Budget Chain Hotels around Germany,Appreciate help.

We are travelling by car around Germany, we are looking for a cheap motel chain, Does anyone know of Hotels that are Budget like Formule1 Motels?? Appreciate any help.

There are Formule1 and Etap budget hotels almoste everywhere in Germany, both operated by Accor: www.accorhotels.com

Ibis hotels are all over Europe and fairly inexpensive.

I second the accorhotels.com site. We used that to book all our reservations. You can do them all online, and can also cancel them within 24 hours of your checkin for no fee. They are clean and very convenient. Not much on the ammenties, especially if you stay at the cheapest version (i think it was the etap). They%26#39;re all fine for overnight stays though.

Also, one or two of the ibis hotels had a free computer with internet in the lobby. Most other hotels charge for wireless, and it%26#39;s really expensive.

There is a Holiday Inn Express in Berlin that is inexpensive that I just booked.

I%26#39;ve stayed at etaphotel potsdamerplatz (43€ for one, 50 for 2) twice: excellent position for sightseeing. Also at etaphotel near Cologne airport as we had an early flight (only 33e for one, 40 for 2 in December!). Wd definitely recommend the chain for budget travel. Ibis (same group) is a bit less basic.
