transport

hello, i have booked the hotel novotel bonn-hardtberg for a weeks stay during the world cup. Could anyone tell me if there is a train station or bus stop close by to get into cologne or bonn? And how many miles is bonn away, just think a taxi there and back every day will cost a bit!!

simpa,

quickly googled on this: the hotel is about 4 miles between your hotel and both the city center of bonn and the train station bonn. from bonn to cologne its about 20 min via fast train and 30 minutes in a slow train.

taxi one way should cost around 10 euros between hotel and bonn city/trainstation. there%26#39;s a bus going, but it takes 25 minutes one way

For the express bus from Cologne/Bonn airport to Bonn you have to pay a supplement (EUR 2,10). You can however also travel via Cologne .

Bonn-Hardtberg is a bit far from the CityCenter. There should be a bus not too far from your hotel that will take you to the center of Bonn. From Bonn Hauptbahnhof you can easily catch a train to Köln. Best bet is the RegioExpress (RE). You can get there faster on

an IC/EC, but it will be a lot more expensive.
