Concentration Camps

When i am in Berlin, I would like to visit a concentration camp to pay respect to those that died.

Can you reccommend any that are near Berlin?

Sachsenhausen can easilly be reached from Berlin with public transport and a short walk. Just google the name of the camp to get all information. Most of the camp is reconstucted but on site.

I went to Sachsenhausen a few weeks ago when in Berlin, it was very easy to get to on the S Bahn(can%26#39;t remember off the top of my head which stop though sorry). It was certainly an experince unlike anything I had ever had. To get more of an insight as to what you are looking at I would recommend the audio tour - it%26#39;s 2 euros for a detailed audio description of all the areas in the camp complete with map so you can follow where you are.

Take the S1 from central areas(or regional train from Lichtenburg)to Oranienburg then walk or short bus ride.
