We%26#39;ll be visiting the castles in Hohenschwangua is September 2006. I%26#39;ve read of the Hotel Muller and the Schlosshotel Lisl / Jagerhaus. Can anybody recommend one over the other? How about dining in Hohenschwangau? I%26#39;ve seen some reviews that recommend Muller over Lisl.

We go frequently to see Neuschwanstein Castle in the snow in February. After discoverng Villa Jaegerhaus, we will always return there. I have never been to the Hotel Muller, but the Villa Jaegerhaus is excellent, and the food in the associated Hotel Lisl across the road is also excellent. I don%26#39;t know where the Hotel Muller is located, but the Villa Jaegerhaus is right next door to Hohenschwangau Castle and also very close to Neuschwanstein. The hotel is kind of in the middle of the road in the village (little traffic) so it has marvelous unblocked views of Neuschwanstein Castle if you get a room on the east side of the hotel. Also get a room at least one story up so you can leave your curtains open and admire the views of the lit-up by night castles. NE corner rooms have a view of both castles. It%26#39;s a wonderful hotel, you%26#39;ll enjoy your stay.
