Free Exhibitions in Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof

I discovered two displays the other day that might appeal to Stuttgart residents. The Stuttgart 2012(?) new railway station project display is quite interesting, one track will pass over 200 meters below the Fernsehturm. There are models of what the station and developed area is envisioned to look like and other interesting displays, including the history of the Stuttgart train stations with some old pictures.

On one of the lower floors of the tower is a rather nice display on Stuttgart-Nord if that is of interest. Historic buldings and places are followed through time from their construction to what is left today, with quite a few pictures. A truly interesting display about this part of Stuttgart.

Of course, the free view from the train station tower is nice, but not as nice as that from the Killesberg tower in Hoehenparkkillesberg which is also discussed in the display.

That should be Stuttgart 21, not 2012. I had a short memory lapse. I also didn%26#39;t mention it is also in the train station tower. What I didn%26#39;t like about the project is that it will encroach on the Schlossgarten, but the concept otherwise is nice.
