Hello,
we are planning to make Heidelberg a homebase of sorts in June during the World Cup and are looking to stay for 9 nights there. We will be taking the train often to matches so would like to be located near the station and also have two four year olds. Is an apt. the most economical/comfortable way to go or should we look into hotels? If hotels, any recommendations for something close to old town, family friendly and under $150 a night?
Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you,
Julie

at category select %26quot;Ferienwohnung%26quot; (= vacation appartment).

Yes, but there are not many in or near the Altstadt.
The problem is also that Heidelberg is the best known city abroad in the area of the VRN

It will be probably easier and cheaper to find a vacation appartment in the smaller towns. Nice is esp. the Neckar valley between Heidelberg and Mosbach. If it%26#39;s close to a stop of the S-Bahn lines S1 or S2 you%26#39;ll be fine.
