Any Water and Boats in Munich?

Following on from planning my trip to Munich in March 1-4th

I was wondering if there are any places that have water,Lakes with Boats..Maybe a boat trip?

Looking for something to do on last day (Friday) that my dad will enjoy.

He loves boats and water

There are boats on Starnberger See (Lake Starnberg) and on the Ammersee lake. Both can be reached by S-Bahn from Munich in short time.

In Munich itself there are no real possibilities for boat tours, as the Isar is a small, very fast river.

There are rafting tours on the Isar, but not as early as March.

A nice day tour including a boat trip is to Herrenchiemsee New Palace, one of King Ludwig II%26#39;s castles, which is on the Herreninsel island in Lake Chiemsee

DB timetable

From: Munich

To: Herreninsel

Apart from these connections you can also walk the 1,8 km from Prien station to Stock harbour. The DB timetables ignores this option.
