We been to Berlin twice before and have visited the usual sights as well as Potsdam and Spandau so where can we go for a day trip? We like small towns and villages which are typical of the region and must be accessible by public transport.

There are a lot of areas which are nice to visit but some are better visited in Spring or Summer like the Spreewald.
Anyway, other nice places are Bad Saarow (you could spend a few hours at the Spa (Bad Saarow Therme) while there), Rostock, Warnemünde, Waren an der Müritz.
