Christmas Day lunch/dinner in Cologne

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant for Christmas Day lunch or dinner? It would be nice to have a traditional christmas meal with Roast Turkey etc but we%26#39;re open to suggestions! There will be 4 of us and anything reasonably priced will be fine. Thanks...

Marco Roni an Italian Restaurant is great for food and atmosphere. It%26#39;s about a 5 minute walk from Neumarkt walking towards the Crowne Plaza in the City Centre.

Thye only I don%26#39;t like about Restaurants and Cafés in Cologne is that everyone seems to smoke, and be allowed to smoke, around food. As a non smoker I find it very irritating inhaling other people cigarette smoke when you%26#39;re trying to eat a nice meal.

Everyone in Cologne seems to flaming well smoke-In fact it%26#39;s was the only turn off for me last weekend when I went to their Christmas Markets.

I%26#39;m glad that the UK and some other EU countries have now banned/seriously considering banning smoking in certain places like all Restaurants, especially where food and drink are available.

I totally agree with you Bishop Smiley - we%26#39;ve just returned from the Christmas markets and the smoke was REALLY unbearable. We were quite shocked by it. Everything we brought back, including ourselves (!), stinks of fags... horrible.

It%26#39;s such a shame because the city and the markets are so beautiful.
