Has anyone taken the tour from Salzburg to Berchtesgaden? If so, please let me know your thoughts and opinions of the tour. Thank you!

I don%26#39;t understand exactly what you want to know , but there is a frquent bus service between Salzburg and Bad Reichenhall:

It%26#39;s possible to go by train too, but requires sometimes changing train in Freilassing.

Berchtesgaden is part of the local transport network of the Salzburg region.
http://www.salzburger-verkehrsverbund.at/
single ticket is EUR 5,00
day ticket is EUR 10,00
bus 840 timetable

The bus stops directly at the
Berchtesgaden Salt Mine

and the Watzmann Therme
http://www.watzmanntherme.de/
of course also at the main railway station in Berchtesgaden.
With a day ticket you can use of course also the buses in Berchtesgaden itself.

On http://salzburg-sightseeingtours.at/ they have a tour that goes to Berchtesgaden and the Konigssee. This is the tour that I was hoping someone had taken. If there is an easier way other than a tour though, I%26#39;d be more than happy to hear about it. Thank you!!

Tour no. 8?
There is no easier way than the tour, but the tour starts pretty late at 14:00, you need approx. 45 min. to the Königssee. Civil twilight ends at this time of the year at 16:30.
And with the tour you just have a view on Lake Königssee. And this not from a place were the typical photos are taken. To really enjoy the lake you need to explore it by boat.
bayerische-seenschifffahrt.de/01_ks_e/ks_sta…
Round trip is 1:50. With a short stop in St. Bartholomä (the small church) and Salet you have to add 1 hour at least (the boats runs half hourly).
Same with the Salt Mine - to drive along the entrance is not really that interesting.
I would recommend to start in the morning in Salzburg and spent the saved money from the tour for the Lake Königssee round trip and the Salt Mine.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all of that out for me. I do have one more question... can you tell me which stop I should get out on? I went to bahn.de and there were several with Koonigsee in the name. Thank you again!!!

Just use with the DB timetable as destination
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e
To: %26quot;Seelände%26quot; or %26quot;Seelaende%26quot;
(this is the place where the boats start)
you can also query directly for
To: %26quot;Schoenau, St. Bartholomae%26quot;
which will give you als the connection from %26quot;Seelände%26quot; to %26quot;St. Bartholomä%26quot; by ship (= SCHIFF in the DB timetable products column).
