Planning on visiting the Karlsruhe area between 12/27 to 12/29. Any suggestions for sightseeing, castles or scenic country side?
Also, looking for information on my family who moved from this area around 1900 to US and would like to create a family tree?

Several nearby places that are worth visiting are Lichtenstein and Hohenzollern Castles (very picturesque and fairy tale-like) and the well preserved monasteries at Maulbronn and Bebenhausen. Karlsruhe itself has a Baroque palace and Baden Baden is quite near.
