Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help? We are a fairly large group (about 10 of us) going to Hamburg over christmas. Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant, preferably serving traditional german food? that would be open on christmas eve for dinner?

I recommend FRANZISKANER, it%26#39;s near the Alster, not sure if it%26#39;s open Christmas eve but I know they have english menus. You must make reservations it%26#39;s very busy there. They have long tables to accomadate large parties. They have a web page maybe you can send an email to them for reservations. It%26#39;s Bavarian sytle food, very good I have been there several times. The restaurant is named from a style of German beer. Cheers!

You might run into trouble finding a restaurant that ism open on Xmas Eve unless you opt for McDo or the likes. You%26#39;ll find a lot of interesting restaurants listed on www.hamburg.de, then restaurants. Best of luck, Dieter
