WorldCup 2006 Flights

Hello, I was just wondering when the best time to look for flights would be for WorldCup 2006. I plan on being there from June 16 - June 23 and did not know when the best time to start looking for flights would be.

Right now the flights are around $1,200 and I have been there 3 times before and have never paid more then $600. Should I wait a few months or will the flights probably not get better due to the worldcup?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try the Germany Airlines LTU and CONDOR . They normally have good roundtrip prices to USA .

www.condor.com

If you find something : Early booking is cheaper.

Thanks for the information molineros. Condor does have the lowest flight prices right now but it would be a 6 hour drive to get to a city they fly out of. My question really is, when should I start looking for sale prices to start for a June departure? Or, because of the World Cup, will prices probably not come down?

Flights are still over $1,100 when they are typically closer to $600.

Thanks again for your help.

I predict they wont come down, but Im not an expert. Its all about supply and demand. And they know the demand will be high! Maybe consider flying into London (or another big European city) and then jumping on one of the budget airlines like Ryanair, Easyjet, German Wings etc?

The problem is: most of these countries take part in the World Cup themselves. The *budget flights* to Germany are also already no more budget either for this time. And the transfer from London-Heathrow to London-Stansted is neither fast nor really cheap.

Maybe Paris or Amsterdam are alternatives. At least the trains from these airports to Germany will keep their normal prices.

I am a British Travel Agent and it is not normal for Scheduled Airlines to do %26#39;late deals%26#39; and there will certainly not be any for the World Cup. In fact if you do leave it you are unlikely to even get a seat!
