Apartments wd be your best bet and thee%26#39;s masses of choice. You can get larger capacity or places in same building.
Here are two agencies with apartments all over Berlin : www.123berlinzimmer.de (423 to choose from) and www.zimmervermittlung24.com . Both pages have an English version.
We stayed in an apartment on Novalisstrasse in Mitte his Easter which we booked through 123berlinerzimmer and it was excellent. Good deals in Berlin compared with other cities.
