We will land in Frankfurt at 8:00 am and our next flight is at 2:30 pm. Is the airport close enought to downtown Frankfurt?, there is a nice restaurant we can have a good brunch?, or take a nice walk? it is going to be thursday 29 december. Please help!, we dont want to be stuck in the airport for 6 hours!

From Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 it%26#39;s 11 min. by S-Bahn to the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) and 15 min. to the Hauptwache, which is the center of the Altstadt (old town) and next to the main shopping street, the Zeil.
Single ticket (to anywhere in Frankfurt) is EUR 3,35.

The Altstadt is pretty compact. Nice is the area around the Römer (name of the town hall), the Dom (the main church) and along the river Main.

Don%26#39;t try to cramp too much into this short time! Take a trip into downtown Frankfurt with the public transport (S-Bahn train) and just wander around (stop %26quot;Hauptwache%26quot;). Try to see the old part around the %26quot;R��mer%26quot; or the %26quot;Old Opera%26quot; and have brunch at the %26quot;M��venpick%26quot; there. If you are into shopping, go to one of the many department stores on the %26quot;Zeil%26quot; where everything will be already on sale.
