We are staying at the hotel manhattan for 3 nights during the opening weekend of the world cup. What bars/clubs are close to this hotel and what are the prices. Where are the best bars in frankfurt and what are there prices
|||
Thus questions are not of much use as
- some places may increase their prices (for extra personal, longer opening hours, more than usual damage (broken glasses etc.))
- some places may even prefer not to open (for exactly the same reasons)
- there will be a (or more) fan mile(s) (e.g. the MainArena) with stalls to buy beverages and food. The *normal* bars won%26#39;t be able to take all guests. And the *best* one for sure not.
As you are from England you don%26#39;t really have to be concerned about prices in Germany.

We pay roughly 3.5 euros for a beer in england is frankfurt cheaper then? Is there a part of the city where all the bars are? Can you recomend any in particular

Frankfurt is in first place an apple wine city, not a beer city.
See

In 12 Aposteln, a Frankfurt mini brewery, a glass beer 0,4 l is EUR 2,50.
For a 0,5 l glass beer at other places EUR 3,20-3,60 are common.

Ripster, you will find bars all over the city, during the World Cup there will be special areas. Prices might be higher than usual during the World, but 3.50 for a beer will certainly do.
A famous, but touristy drinking area in Frankfurt would be Sachsenhausen (the part of Frankfurt located south of the Main river), there are a few microbreweries and a big one (Binding - not a good beer though) in the city, too. Bornheim offers a lot of nice bars, too and is easily accessible by tube.
Your hotel is located in the Hauptbahnhof area, public transport will bring you everywhere. The area itself is the red light district, so I would not really recommend any bars there. You may still find one for the road there when searching closely.
One of my favourites would be the Fabrik in Sachsenhausen (a nice beer garden inthe summer), but you will have 100s of options.
