We found a flight for a decent price (around $750) from US to Germany for the World Cup. I know consolidator fares do not come out until January and I know most deals have not come out yet.
My question is would you recommend buying now because peak season and the World Cup or wait for any deals or consolidator fares?
I would hate to skip this price and pay a lot higher.

I would definitely buy at that price also. Not only might you end up with a higher price by waiting, but the flights will be filling up and you may end up not being able to find seats.

I would definitely take this flight. Scheduled flights from Germany to the USA for the next summer (with reasonably prices) are usually sold out around christmas, though I wuld say that flights from the USA to Germany are quite the same.
I agree with andywrend: Try to catch a flight e.g. to London and from there to Germany with a lowcost airline (Ryan Air, Air Berlin, Easyjet, HLX etc.)
