Is there still a Lufthansa bus to Heidleberg from the...

Also would you recommend reserving a GPS system with a rental car, for your first time in Germany? Thank You So Much.

Yes.

Single ticket is EUR 18,00 pp. Travel time 75 min.

I would however recommend to travel by train.

Travel time 50 min.

From: FRA Airport

To: Mannheim

To: Heidelberg

Buy a ticket for the ICE highspeed train Frankfurt Airport to Mannheim (EUR 20,00 pp).

Buy in Mannheim from a ticket machine a VRN 24-hours ticket (Ticket 24 PLUS) for Mannheim and Heidelberg (1 person EUR 8,00 2-5 persons EUR 12,50).

Train is only slightly more expensive than the Lufthansa bus. You cannot count the 24-hours ticket fully - you would like to buy one in Heidelberg probably anyway.

Main reason is however:

Lufthansa bus is *just* a bus. Nothing special. The ICE highspeed trains are however some of the most advanced and comfortable trains ever put on tracks. This new experience should be worth a couple of Euro.

People found their way through Germany even in pre-GPS times. A question of the price probably.

Otherwise get you a good road atlas (booklet form EUR 8-10) when in Germany.
