Draft itinerary as follows:
Berlin (overnight)
Dresden (2 nights)
Rothenburg (overnight)
Fussen (overnight)
Garmisch (3 nights)
Berchtesgaden (2 nights)
Regensburg (overnight)
Quedlinburg (overnight)
Return to Berlin
We fly into Berlin Schoenefeld.
We have been to Berlin before so we do not need to see anything there.Stays in Garmisch and Berchesgaden are for forays into Austria.
We know there is a lot of driving but we do not mind this.
Thanks for any advice.

I don%26#39;t know if Berlin is a good base as you are heading to southern Germany. I think it%26#39;s because you fly with Easy Jet...isn%26#39;t it?
Just look at http://www.airberlin.com . There you get flights London - Nuremberg from ~25€ and airberlin ist much better than easyjet.
But apart from that it%26#39;s a very interesting plan. I love driving through southern Germany as the landscape is so wonderfull.
Have fun!
