We are traveling to Munich/Bavaria with our 10-year old daughter in mid-March. We recently watched an old travel video of Bavaria in which they showed a family participating in luge-type sledding (in the summer) on what looked like a cement track. Does anyone know where this is? Would it, or something like it (such as snow tubing or sledding) be available in mid-March? Or, is the weather too in-between for either type of activity? Also, if you have any other suggestions for keeping a child entertained outdoors, that would be much appreciated. She will be traveling with mom and dad to visit grandpa (U.S. ex-pat) in Munich and will need to cut loose as a kid once in a while!

According to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen website, there is a family sledding run on Hausberg mountain south of town. garmisch-partenkirchen.de/en/3d7817a8-6c53-a…

I am sure her Opa has lots of suggestions for her. I definitely would include a visit to the Deutsche Museum, there are all kinds of exhibits that appeal to all ages, including Mom and Dad. There is also a Marionetten Theater in Munich.
Sledding (or Rodeln, as it is called in Germany) is available in some form or other in almost every winter resort. The closest to Munich is probably the Sudelfeld, accesible by bus. If there is snow in on the ground in Munich, you can do it even in the Englischer Garten, the major city park.
