Xmas visit to Lubeck

Stayed in Lubeck for 4 nights it was a lovely place. Not geared up for the English tourist but they all tried there best and were very friendly. The Xmas markets were fab as were there sausages and hot rum.We found a lovely wine bar which we returned to time after time the people were lovely and the atmosphere great. We went to Lubeck because of the cheap flights with Ryanair and we had never been to Germany before. We would def go back it was so nice.

We spent 7 nights in Lubeck over the Christmas period. Last August we had such a lovely time in Lubeck, the whole family decided to spend Christmas there this year. We rented self catering accommodation at the Boardinghouse Refugium, which is very well equiped, right in the centre of the old town and the owner speaks fluent English. Lubeck has wonderful shops and the Christmas markets are great fun for all ages. There are wonderful restaurants to suit all budgets, but in general they are cheaper than in the UK and France. Everyone is very friendly and we found English was widely spoken. One thing to remember is cash is the preferred method of payment. Visa cards are accepted in many places that won%26#39;t accept Mastercard.
