Hi folks,
Sorry for being a pain, apart from Hertha are there any othe Berlin football teams?
Thanks in advance.

In fact there are a number of lower-class football teams in Berlin, some better known ones are
Union Berlin (former 2nd division club, 1st division in GDR, stadium near Köpenick, 4. Division)
Tennis-Borussia Berlin, (former 1st division club, stadium in Charlottenburg, 4. Division)
BFC Dynamo Berlin (almost always champion of the GDR, stadium in Hohenschönhausen, 4. Division)
Türkiyemspor Berlin (most famous Turkish Team, stadium in Kreuzberg, 4. Division)
SV Tasmania 73 (worst 1st Division Team ever, stadium in Neukölln, 5. Division)
check www.nordostfussball.de/vereine/vberlin.php for details.

And you%26#39;re not a pain. In German they have a nice saying about football: %26quot;The most beautiful trivial matter in the world%26quot;

Thanks for that.
Do you know where I can get a fixture list for these teams? I would like to take in a match while I am in Berlin on the weekend of 24th March.
Cheers

Hi Davie!
you have a number of choices on that date. Check www.kicker.de/content/spielplan/spieltag.asp… for details. In case this works not directly (it did on my computer though), here are the games:
Fr., 24.3., 7pm:
Union Berlin - Torgelower SV Greif
SV Babelsberg 03 - MSV 1919 Neuruppin
Sa., 25.3., 2pm
BFC Preussen (I missed that one last time) - Anker Wismar
So., 26.3., 2pm
Berliner AK 07 (that one, too. Sorry!) - BFC Dynamo (a derby!)
BFC Preussen is in Lankwitz (never heard about this suburb though. Seems to be a bit off the track).
Berliner AK 07 is in Lüderitzstrasse in Wedding.
Both grounds don%26#39;t really look like stadia to me. You need to know that there are overall 9 (!) 4th divisions (Oberligen) in Germany and that this is not professional football anymore. So don%26#39;t expect grounds of English standards if you go. Some clubs might have a real stadium (e.g. Union), some grounds might look like what you would find in the English Conference, which is most comparable to %26quot;Oberliga%26quot;, whereas the league above (Regionalliga), which is split into 2 sections would resemble 3rd/4th division football. Actually Hertha%26#39;s 2nd Team plays there and has a (quite boring, if you ask me) home game against the 2nd team of the Hamburger SV on 25th of March. Don%26#39;t expect more than 800 visitors on such a game though.
My advice would be to go and see Union because this is the most traditional club playing home and they will have quite a few people at their home games.
