hotels in Hohenschwangau, which one is best?

Hello, we are planning a trip to Germany in Sept. We are going to go from Munich to Fussen adn then onto the castels. We are interested in two hotels, Villa Jagerhaus or

The Hotel Mueller. Any former hotel guests?

We visit Neuschwanstein frequently, and after staying at the Villa Jaegerhaus we will always return. It is an excellent hotel in the old hunting lodge for the castles, and the restaurant in the associated hotel across the street is also excellent. It is right next door to Hohenschwangau Castle and very close to Neuschwanstein. Get a room on an upper floor (so you can leave your curtains open at night) facing Neuschwanstein Castle for excellent views of lit-up by night Neuschwanstein. The NE corner room has excellent views of both lit-up castles, but the center room is nicer (whirlpool in bath). I can%26#39;t say anything about the Hotel Mueller because we have never stayed there and I can%26#39;t remember ever seeing it. We try to stay in the Villa Jaegerhaus every February because Neuschwanstein in the snow is fantastic! The horse carrages to Neuschwanstein and the ticket office is a very short distance away. A short walk in the opposite direction from Neuschwanstein is a nice small lake. Consider also attending the musical in Fuessen.
