other countries

I will be in Bavaria for 16 days. While I%26#39;m there I would like to see another country. Does anyone know if there is a direct train to one of these Cities, Nice France, Venice Italy or Zurich? I would like to spend about 2 nights out is this possible and how long on the train would it be?

There are direct trains to Venice and Zürich (and a lot of connection to Nice too with one or more change, which you don%26#39;t need to fear) but Zürich is the easiest to reach with about 4-5 h travel time. Nice is however too far for a short trip unless you fly. For the schedules look at www.bahn.de. Don%26#39;t forget to use the locally correct city names (e.g Venezia, not Venice)

Hi! Zurich, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Venice, ... are all easy to reach by train from Munich. As Altamiro said, have a look at www.bahn.de (which gives you timetables of all means of public transpor in Germany and all trains allover Europe and parts of Asia). Just click on %26quot;Internat. Guests%26quot; and you%26#39;ve found the english version.

If you have never been to Italy, Venice would be the most different town, very southern, very different from Bavaria. There is a direct night train and some trains during the day. Enter: %26quot;Venezia Santa Lucia%26quot;

Nice is about 12,5 hours by train from Munich, go to %26quot;Nice Ville%26quot;.

... it all depends on what you want!
