Another question would be to which museums should we go? We have only 4 full days so we would like to see as much as possible and we have to choose from so many! Since it%26#39;s going to be very cold after Christmas (as i%26#39;ve seen at the weather forecast) and we greeks are used to warmer climates, we should be able to spend some time indoors in a museum! I hope the zoo is going to be open these cold days as we don%26#39;t want to miss it!
Thanks again and merry christmas to everyone!

The zoo is open all year round no matter how cold it is. :-)
My favourite museums are the Pergamon Museum, Museum for Kommunikation (Communication), Deutsche Technikmuseum (technical museum)

I would add the Gemäldegalerie and the Jewish Museum.
If visiting 2 or more museums the SchauLUST Berlin 3-day museum ticket is a good deal.

Gemäldegalerie

Jewish Museum Berlin
juedisches-museum-berlin.de/site/…
Deutsches Technik Museum Berlin
http://www.dtmb.de/index_en.html
(has e.g. the first computer on display)
Museum für Kommunikation
museumsstiftung.de/berlin/d211_rundgang.asp
(the oldest museum of its kind. Has the first telephone and also legendary stamps like the blue and red Mauritius on display)
Pergamon Museum

(Pergamon Altar; Market Gate of Miletus; the Processional Way, the Ishtar Gate and the facade of the throne hall of King Nebuchadnezzar II are really famous)

The Pergamon also has a special exhibit from Herculaaeum at the moment so see it all. I also liked the Egyptian exhibits at the Altes Museum, which is close by

If you like movies don%26#39;t miss the wonderful Berlin Film museum on Potsdamer Platz. It has the entire history of Germany%26#39;s film industry and also focuses on the careers of many of those pioneers that fled to the US during WWII. It is very high tech and beats most museums in its organized method of delivery.

Just back from a 4-day trip to Berlin. Pergamon exhibits are awesome and not to be missed. The Zoo is also pretty impressive. If you are willing to travel to Zone 3 (approx 30 minutes from central Berlin) then you should visit the concentration camp (Sachsenhausen)at Oranienburg (north) and also the Prussian Palace (Sanssouci) which is in Potsdam (south).

To those travelling far and interested in recent history, I%26#39;d also recommend the German-Russian museum in Karlshorst (S-Bahn-Karlshorst), which is much much much better than the Disneyland propaganda at Checkpoint Charlie.
