Does anyone know where I might write to find a list of orphanages in Berlin area. Also where might a nursing school be located in the same area (Berling or Wittstock). I am making a trip to Berlin and would like to visit these locations.

For a nursing school, I suggst writing to the Charite hospital, which is the university teaching hospital:

As for orphanages... Are you talking about something historical? Because if not, they are not called orphanages anymore, but %26quot;Children%26#39;s Home%26quot; (Kinderheim)/Village (Kinderdorf)(and other euphemisms). If you%26#39;re talking about historical ones, I%26#39;d suggest contacting:
- The Jewish Community (for the Jewish orphange)
- Caritas and Diakonie (for church-ran orphanages, Catholic and Protestant)
- The municipality (for neither).
And as for %26quot;Children%26#39;s Homes%26quot;, here are few addresses:
…opusforum.org/branchen/1QQBerlinQQBerlinQQ1…
In any case, I hate to sound like this, but it sounds to me like you need to employ a professional historian/researcher that would help you plan your trip (such as a Google Answers researcher, etc.), especially if you don%26#39;t speak German.
